Ms. Mary Esther Gray, formerly of Belhaven, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, in Vallejo, Calif.
A funeral was conducted Nov. 1, 2007, at Cooley-Riolo Mortuary. Burial followed in Skylark Cemetery, Vallejo, Calif.
Ms. Gray was born in Belhaven on June 18, 1969. She was the daughter of Albert Blount and the late Cleopatra Blount. She was adopted and reared by Naomi Ruth Sutton.
Survivors include her adoptive mother, Naomi Sutton; one daughter, Bridgette and four sons, Dakota, Ezekiel, Bryant and Jamal.
She was preceded in death by one son, Donte’; one brother, Marvin Eric Collins; and four sisters, Shirley L. Blount, Lisa D. Graham, Tabitha D. Blount and Yvette Simpson.
