Mrs. Doris Marie Rouson Thompson, 67, of 1825 Bruckner Blvd., 5-F, Bronx, N.Y., and formerly of Roper, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at Kings Harbor Bronx Rehabilitation Center, Bronx, N.Y.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Bethel Church of Christ, Roper, with Elder Mackey officiating. Burial will follow in Rouson family cemetery, Backwoods Road, Roper.
Mrs. Thompson was born in Roper on July 25, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Henry Wilson Rouson and Mattie Lee Norman Rouson. She had worked as a nurse assistant with a home health agency. She was a graduate of Washington County Union School, class of 1958. She was a member of Mt. Eprew Baptist Church.
Survivors include four children, Denise Jones, Charles Ingram, Kerry Ingram and Sandra Ingram, all of Bronx, N.Y.; one brother, Clinton Rouson of Roper; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
