Mrs. Mary Bowen White, 95, of Plymouth, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at Plumblee Nursing Home, Plymouth.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hillside Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Leonard Bowers officiating.
Mrs. White was born in Washington County on Nov. 29, 1911. She was the daughter of the late Milton and Blanche Bray Bowen. She was married to Joseph E. White Sr., who preceded her in death. She was a sales associate at A &N Retail Stores of Virginia for 30 years in Norfolk and Portsmouth, Va. She was a member of Zion’s Chapel Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, James Robert White of Plymouth; one sister, Margaret Romans of Sioux City, Iowa; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Joseph E. White and several sisters and brothers.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home-Horner Chapel, Plymouth.
