Mr. Samuel Wayne Rogerson, 82, of 3792 Cherry Street, Bethel, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2007 at his home.
Funeral services with military honors will be held Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at the Bethel Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Smith and the Rev. John Piper officiating.
Mr. Rogerson was born April 12, 1925 in Edgecombe County to the late William Henry and the late Lillian Carson Rogerson. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and a retired farmer. He was an Army veteran of World War II where he served in Germany, Austria and Italy.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Crane Rogerson; one daughter, Terry Lewis of Winterville; one son, Billy Wayne Rogerson of Bethel; one sister, Kay R. Allen of Graham and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia R. Burton.
The family will receive friends today from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home’s Ayers Chapel in Bethel.
