Mr. Henry Richard Davenport Jr., 70, of Plymouth, died Dec. 1, 2007 at Washington County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007 at Walker Funeral Home-Horner Chapel with the Rev. Edwin Long Officiating. A private burial will follow.
Mr. Davenport was born Oct. 31, 1937 in Washington County to the late Elsie Phelps and the late Henry Richard Davenport. He was employed with Georgia-Pacific Lumber Company for 25 years and with Mackey’s Lumber Company for 11 years.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Oliver Davenport; two sons, Richard Lee Davenport and Christopher Davenport, both of Roper; one daughter, Sue D. Luton; one sister, Juanita D. Eberlin of Columbia, S.C.; six grandsons and one granddaughter.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at Walker Funeral Home-Horner Chapel.
Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society in Mr. Davenport’s memory.
