Mrs. Sara Craft Bunting Jones, 83, died Saturday, Dec. 1.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Oak City Christian Church. Burial will follow in the Oak City Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was born in Oak City in Martin County. She owned and operated Oak City Dry Cleaners with her husband, John Carter Jones, who preceded her in death in February 1999. She later worked with Green Gable Designs in Wilson. She was a founding member of Martin County Travel and Tourism. She was a member of Oak City Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Dianne J. Whitfield of Tarboro and Janet J. Whitfield of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; four sisters, Nell Brown, Blannie Turner, Sue Latham and Patsy Beach; one brother, Wiley Bunting; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at Oak City Christian Church.
