Mr. William Owens, 97, of 644 Sandhill Road, Plymouth, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at Washington County Hospital in Plymouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in New Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Plymouth, with the Rev. Harry White officiating. Burial will follow in Simmons Memorial Gardens, Plymouth.
Mr. Owens was the son of the late William Winfield Owens and Louvenia Spruill Owens.
Survivors include five daughters, Mattie Owens of Roper, Alberta O. Staten and Delores Owens, both of Plymouth, Louvenia Oliver of Jamaica, N.Y., and Annie B. Green of Mt. Vernon; three sons, William R. Owens of Bangkok, Thailand, Johnny L. Owens of Plymouth and Henry Owens of Farmville; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will take place today from 7-8 p.m. at New Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Plymouth. The family will receive friends at the home.
