Mrs. Mable Wilson Everette, 87, a resident of Ridgewood Manor Nursing Center and formerly of 234 W. Pantego St., Belhaven, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at Ridgewood Manor.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Saint Reddick Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Lawrence Satchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Windley family cemetery, Belhaven.
Mrs. Everette was born in Beaufort County on Oct. 27, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Nancy B. Wilson. She attended the Beaufort County Schools. She pursued a career in cosmetology and was a former cosmetology instructor at Beaufort County Technical Institute (now Beaufort County Community College). She was proprietor of Everette’s House of Charm for several years. She was active in community affairs including The Boys &Girls Club, The Shepherd’s Staff and Human Relations. She was a member of Southern Beauty Chapter No. 46, Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of Saint Reddick Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Clyde E. Lanier Sr.
