Mr. David George Lappin, 79, of 704 Frederick St., Robersonville, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church, Robersonville, with the Rev. Bill Gay officiating.
Mr. Lappin was born in Havertown, Pa., on Feb. 2, 1928. He was the son of the late Thomas and Annie Anderson Lappin. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. On Aug. 4, 1961, he married Carol Sheetz Lappin, who survives. He worked as a topographer with the U.S. Geological Service until his retirement.
Survivors include five daughters, Sheila Gurganus of Robersonville, Kelley Demotts of Ayden, Desiree Adams and Kathleen Thompson, both of Greenville, and Deborah Monte of Marlow, N.H.; one sister, Pat Miller of Cape May Court House, N.J.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 1-2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Robersonville.
