Mr. William Victor Andrews, 89, of 19061 U.S. Highway 64 East, Williamston, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Holly Springs United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lonnie Hedrick officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Andrews was born in Martin County on Jan. 10, 1918. He was the son of the late Samuel and Tillie Roberson Andrews. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. In 1950, he married Ruby Hoggard Andrews, who preceded him in death in 1998. He worked as a self employed logger and farmer until his retirement. He was a member of Holly Springs United Methodist Church, Williamston.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond I. Andrews and Van D. Andrews, both of Williamston; one stepson, Gordon Cowan of Williamston; one brother, Hewitt Andrews of Baltimore, Md.; one sister, Naomi Roberson of Robersonville; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holly Springs United Methodist Church, 19621 U.S. Highway 64, Williamston, NC 27892.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the home.
