Mr. Donald Francis Duffy, 82, of 1578 View Nicholson Road, Williamston, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at Martin General Hospital in Williamston.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Mr. Duffy was born in Levis, Canada, on Nov. 2, 1925. He was the son of the late Owen Francis Duffy and Ida Josephine Lemieux Duffy. He was a Marine veteran of the Korean War and World War II. On Aug. 30, 1958, he married Ida Jones Duffy, who survives. He worked as a police officer in New York, N.Y., until his retirement. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Scott Duffy of Anchorage, Alaska, and Tyler Patrick Duffy of Peachtree City, Ga.; two daughters, Theresa Doreen Duffy of Raleigh and Robin Caroline Duffy of Manhattan, N.Y.; one sister, Marjorie Doering of Greenville and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the home.
