Lessie Estelle Johnson Taylor, 90, of 115 Jackson Heights Drive, Plymouth, died at Plumbee Nursing Center, Dec. 23, 2007. Mrs. Taylor was born in Nash County, N.C. on Sept. 2, 1917 to the late Julius and Mary Bone Johnson. Mrs. Taylor was married to the late John Taylor and was a member of Macadenia Missionary Baptist Church in Spring Hope and attended Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Plymouth.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by one brother, Samuel Johnson of Spring Hope; two sisters, Eula Belle Medlin of Spring Hope and Mary Addalee Johnson of Spring Hope; two grandchildre and one great grandaughter. She is preceded in death by one brother, Hubert Allen and one sister, Elsie Sherrod.
Visitation will be Dec. 26, from 11 a.m. until noon at Walker Funeral Home-Horner Chapel, 216 Washington St., Plymouth. The funeral will be Wednesday at noon at the funeral home with Rev. Leonard Bowers officiating. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville.
