Mr. Mark Allen Waters, 52, of 134 Hummingbird Lane, Washington died Saturday, December 22, 2007 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 24, 2007 in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service with Rev. Lonnie Hedrick officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Benjamin Miles, George Norfleet, Perry Moore, Ronnie Downing, Sammy Cooper and William Davis will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, December 23, 2007 at Hillside Funeral Service and other times at the home.
Mr. Waters was born December 19, 1955 in Natchez, Mississippi. He was the son of the late Ishmael S. Waters and Annette Boyington Waters. He was married to the former Kitty Lewis. Mr. Waters was the Director of Maintenance at Beaufort County Community College. He was a member of Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church. Mark enjoyed spending time with his family in a variety of outdoor activities including fishing, camping and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Kitty Lewis Waters; one daughter, Jennifer Marie Waters and her fiance’, Brad Woolard of Greenville; one sister, Peggy A. Gibson of Ohio; three brothers, Ricky L. Waters, Mickey B. Waters and his wife, Amy, both of Pinetown and Barney R. Waters and his wife, Charlotte of Washington; his in-laws, Hobson and Nancy Lewis of Washington; two sisters-in-law, Debbie Williams and her husband, Nolan of Greensboro; and Cynthia Lilley and her husband, Mike of Washington.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Holly Denise Waters; one brother, Donald W. Waters, and longtime friend, Chuck Casey.
