Mr. Henry Clyde Williams, 82, of 6006 Holly Springs Church Road, Williamston, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at Beaufort County Hospital in Washington.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Tice Cemetery.
Mr. Williams was born in Williams Township on Sept. 4, 1925. He was the son of the late Henry Frank and Jenny Stella Roberson Williams. He served in the Navy during World War II. On March 16, 1952, he married Sylvia Marie Lilley Williams, who preceded him in death Dec. 24, 1995. He was a farmer and also did electrical and plumbing work.
Survivors include two daughters, Henrietta W. Seagroves of Williamston and Loretta H. Bailey of Washington, whom he reared; two sisters, Vera W. Congleton of Greenville and Ola Gray Peel of Williamston; and two brothers, Joseph Raymond “J.R.” Williams and George Wendell Williams, both of Williamston.
The family will receive friends today from 4-6 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the home.
