Mrs. Gloria Hopkins Jones, 58, of 1955 Gilead Shores Road, Blounts Creek, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at home.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Edwards Cemetery, Chocowinity, with pastor Gary Lewis officiating.
Mrs. Jones was born in Beaufort County on Dec. 13, 1949. She was the daughter of the late Mack William Hopkins Sr. and Eva Grey Wells Hopkins. She graduated from Aurora High School. On Sept. 16, 1978, she married Michael Earl Jones, who survives. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Norman of Blounts Creek; one son, Kelvin Asby of Greenville; two stepsons, Michael E. Jones and Christopher Jones, both of Chocowinity; one sister, Gale Gillie of Landon, S.C.; one brother, Ronald Hopkins of Chocowinity and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Mack Hopkins Jr.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home, Washington, and other times at the home.
