Miss Mamie Lee Tucker, 62, of 310 W. Ninth St., Washington, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Beebe Chapel CME Church, Cherry Run Road, Washington, with the Rev. Joniece Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington.
Miss Tucker was born in Pitt County on Jan. 15, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Mamie Tucker. She graduated from P.S. Jones High School in 1963. She was employed at Hamilton Beach and later at Jackie’s Place. She was a lifelong member of Beebe Chapel CME Church, where she served as an usher.
Survivors include two sisters, Alice Hardy and Gladys T. Moore, both of Washington; and two brothers, William O. Tucker and Fred Tucker, both of Washington.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Nora Moore and Bernice Tucker.
The family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Alice Hardy, 1004 Washington St., Washington.
Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
