Mrs. Cora Hines Modlin, 90, of 203 Beech St., Williamston, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at Martin General Hospital in Williamston.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in First Christian Church, Williamston, with the Rev. Tom Goebel officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Modlin was born in Martin County on Nov. 6, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Charles Emmett Hines Sr. and Addie Griffin Hines. She was married to Galem B. “Trailer” Modlin, who preceded her in death. She was a self-employed seamstress and a member of the Lioness Club and the CWF. She was a member of First Christian Church, Williamston.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Revels and Bonnie Robertson, both of Williamston; one brother, Charles E. Hines Jr. of Elizabeth City; one sister, Virginia Schneider of Camp Douglas, Wis.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Williamston, and other times at the home.
