Pearl Agnes Price Tenney

Mrs. Pearl Agnes Price Tenney, 85, of Plymouth, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 24, 2008, at Plumblee Nursing Center, Plymouth, where she had been a resident for the past 12 years.
Born March 24, 1922 in Spring Creek, Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Ruby Price and was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Thomas Tenney whom she married in 1948; sisters, Elsie Elliott and Anna Mae Strickland; brothers, James Price and William Price. Pearl was the owner of Tenney’s Pet Shop in Plymouth for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Plymouth where she served as Sunday School Teacher and Youth Group Leader until her health failed.
Her family includes her son, Donnie Tenney and wife Sandra of Williamston, N.C.; grandchildren, Robert Tenney of Greenville, N.C.; Raleigh Tenney of Indianapolis, IN and Walter Tenney of Wilmington, N.C.; sister-in-laws, Ruth Buchanan and Priscilla Mullinax of Travelers Rest, S.C.
Graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 4 p.m. in Hillside Memorial Gardens, Plymouth with Josh Davenport officiating. Memorial donations in Mrs. Pearl Tenney’s memory may be made to Fairview Christian Church, 1020 Fairview Church Road, Williamston, NC 27892. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
