Mr. Kirby L. O’Neal, 68, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008 at his home.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. O’Neal was a native and lifelong resident of Ballards Cross roads. He was a long distance truck driver, known as “Ramblin Man”. He worked for Collins and Aikman, and Barnes Transportation in Wilson.
Mr. O’Neal was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Annie O’Neal; a son, Kirby O’Neal Jr. and one brother, Buddy O’Neal.
Survivors include his wife, Louise “Wheezie” R. O’Neal; four daughters, Kathleen Armstrong of Chocowinity, Cynthia B. Dilda of Farmville, April B. O’Neal of Grifton and Tina B. Heath of Grifton; four sisters, Lois Ann Ball of Washington, Betty Faye Winslow of Washington, Gloria Jean Ludwig of Swansboro and Marie D. Simpkins of Washington; two brothers, Bobby Ray O’Neal of Ballards Cross Roads and Thomas O’Neal of Grifton and nine grandchildren and his beloved cat Pumpkin.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at Wilkerson Funeral Home of Greenville.
