Mary Louise Allen Parker, 81, of Wilson died Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. David Barnes will officiate.
She was a retired beautician of 35 years and a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her husband, Marvin Putney Parker; a daughter, Barbara P. Taylor and husband James of Wilson; two sons, Donnie A. Parker and wife Cheryl of Brooksville, Fla. and Danny T. Parker of Kinston; six grandchildren, James “Jim” Taylor Jr., Melissa “Missy” Taylor Inman, Mary Taylor Murphy, Michael Parker, Jennifer Parker and Daniel Parker; seven great-grandchildren, Brittany Williams, Ryan Murphy, Adrianne Turnage, David Turnage, MacKenzie Turnage, Adrian Taylor and John Taylor; a sister, Myrtle A. Rascoe of Pungo, and a brother, Benjamin Allen and wife, Joann of Terra Ceia, N.C.
The family will receive friends 1:30 - 3 p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and at other times at 3709 Airport Blvd.
