Ms. Arbutis Elizabeth Walston, 59, of 112 Wilson St., Williamston, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A memorial service will be conducted today at 1 p.m. in Mount Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Williamston, with the Rev. John K. Ponds officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Williamston.
Ms. Walston was born in Martin County on Oct. 20, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Louie Gurganus and William Henry Walston Sr. She was an alumna of E.J. Hayes School. She had worked as a banker, radio station manager, health care provider and community social worker. She was a member of Mount Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
