Mr. Buster Elks Baker, Sr., age 42, a resident of 224 N. Bonner Street, Washington, died Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Beaufort County Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, conducted by Craig Godley and Rupert Wallace.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Mark Campbell, Jeffrey Campbell, Kenny Jones, Michael Hodges, Tony “T.J.” Keech, Jr. and Ashley Sawyer.
Mr. Baker was born in Beaufort County on January 9, 1966. He was the son of the late James Thomas Baker, Sr. and Florida Perry Baker. Mr. Baker was a heating and air technician with Custom Air Services. He loved to hunt and fish.
Mr. Baker is survived by his soul mate, Cathy Massey of Washington; four children, Buster E. Baker, Jr., Brian Lee Baker, Stephanie Deans, James Deans; a brother, James Baker and his wife, Robin of Washington; a sister, Jo Baker of Oriental; and three grandchildren, Somer Wetherington, James Emmett and Rien Sawyer.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Paul Funeral Home, Washington and other times at the home, 224 N. Bonner Street, Washington and at the home of his brother, James Baker, 186 Wharton Station Road, Washington.
