Annette Brickhouse Woodley, 71, of 4035 Riverneck Road, Columbia, died early Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Columbia Missionary Baptist Church, with Dr. Jeff Crabtree and the Rev. Joe Wynns officiating. Burial will follow in Azalea Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Woodley was born in Tyrrell County on May 7, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Louise Rhodes Brickhouse. She worked as a secretary in the Tyrrell County School System and later worked with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina in its corporate offices. Later, she moved back to Tyrrell County where she returned to work in the school system and retired in 1998. She was married to William Lawrence Parisher, Sr. Following his death in 1967, she married Horace Linwood Woodley. She was a member of Columbia Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Horace Linwood Woodley; two sons, William Lawrence Parisher of Fayetteville and Norman Keith Parisher of Brooks, Ga.; a sister Lucia B. Davenport of Creswell; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Parisher, who died in 1986, and by an infant sister.
