Mrs. Leonia Rogers Gurganus, 89, a resident of Williamston, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Cemetery, Williamston, with William Roberson officiating.
Mrs. Gurganus was born Feb. 23, 1918, in Martin County. She was the daughter of the late Gilliam Rogers and Lizzie Gurganus Rogers. She was a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ. She was a homemaker. She married James David Bullock, who died in 1959. Later, she married Henry Staton Gurganus, who survives.
Survivors include two sons, James Ward Bullock of Washington and Gene Bullock of Williamston; a daughter, Faye Webb of Williamston; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janie Whitaker.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Biggs Funeral Home, Williamston, and other times at the home of Faye Webb, 5243 Prison Camp Road, Williamston.
