Mr. Callie Smith Biggs, 72, of 2141 Prison Camp Road, Williamston, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Biggs Funeral Home; burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Biggs was born Aug. 14, 1935, the son of the late James Herman and Allie Bert Biggs. He was married to Evelyn Council Biggs, who survives. He served 42 years in the N.C. National Guard and retired as Command Sergeant Major of the 30th Infantry Brigade. He was co-owner of Bailey Equipment Co. He was a member of Roberson Chapel Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Karen Biggs Berry of Wilmington; two grandchildren and one sister, Dorothy Biggs Williams of Gold Point.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home.
