Mr. McKinley Bryant, 78, of 785 Goat Neck Road, Columbia, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at Chowan Hospital in Edenton.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Alligator Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Clevon Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Community Cemetery, Columbia.
Mr. Bryant was born in Tyrrell County on April 5, 1929. He was the son of the late Armecy McClese and Maceo Bryant. He had been employed as a fisherman. He was married to Flossie B. Bryant, who survives.
Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Bryant of Columbia and Kenneth Bryant of Engelhard; four daughters, Sherlene Spencer and Bonnie Richardson, both of Raleigh, Phyllis Clarke of Maryland and Priscilla Rickard of Columbia; four brothers, Chatman Bryant and Fentress Bryant, both of Columbia, Caldwell Bryant of Elizabeth City and Ira Bryant of Wilson; two sisters, Mary Respass of Columbia and Catherine Lilly of Garner; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Rowsom Funeral Home, Columbia.
