Mrs. Sophie Jane Leggett, 86, of Bear Grass, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Rehoboth Pentecostal Holiness Church; burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Leggett was born Aug. 30, 1922, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Walter Leggett. On Nov. 26, 1941, she married John M. Leggett, who preceded her in death Feb. 16, 2004. She was a homemaker. She attended Rehoboth Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Powers of Bear Grass; two sons, Johnny “Milford” Leggett of Williamston and Walter Leggett of Bear Grass; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and one sister, Essie Woolard of Virginia Beach, Va.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home, Williamston.
