Mrs. Helen Weaver Wynne, 80, of 101 E. Roosevelt Drive, Williamston, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in First Christian Church with the Rev. Tom Goebel officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Wynne was born in Martin County on May 16, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Frank and Minnie Harrison Weaver. On June 15, 1945, she married George C. Wynne, who survives. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons, George C. Wynne Jr. of Winterville and Gary W. Wynne of High Point; one daughter, Gina W. Economides of Charlotte; two sisters, Alvareta Mizelle of Williamston and Lorene Mahler of Richmond, Va.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the home.
