Mrs. Ginger H. Lucas

Mrs. Sylvia Virginia “Ginger” Hill Lucas, age 64, a former resident of the Haw Branch community, Chocowinity, died Monday, February 18, 2008 at Beaufort County Hospital in Washington.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Haw Branch Church of Christ, conducted by D. J. Maxey.
Mrs. Lucas was born in Charleston, S.C. on June 7, 1943. She was the daughter of Mary Brown Hill and the late E.D. Hill. Mrs. Lucas was a retired lab technician with Washington Women’s Clinic. She was a member of the Haw Branch Church of Christ.
Mrs. Lucas was married to William “Kent” Lucas, who preceded her in death, January 17, 2003.
Mrs. Lucas is survived by two daughters, Kim Haselden and her husband, Ron and their children, Zack Squires and Emma Paige Haselden all of Bath, Paige Meyers and her son, Luke Meyers, both of Chocowinity; her mother, Mary Brown Hill of Chocowinity; a brother, Roger Hill and his wife, Liz both of Chocowinity; and a sister, Norma Tyndall and her husband, Carl both of Deep Run.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, February 19, 2008 at the home of her brother, Roger Hill, 2318 Haw Branch Road, Chocowinity.
Memorials may be made to the Haw Branch Church of Christ Building Fund, 1501 Haw Branch Church Road, Chocowinity, N.C. 27817.
