Mrs. Julia Biggs Raines, 52, of Heath Cliff Road in High Point, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Church of the Advent with the Rev. Jim Horton officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Raines was born in Martin County on April 12, 1955. She was the daughter of Julia Harrison Biggs of Williamston and the late William Wood Biggs. On July 19, 1980, she married John Robert Raines III, who survives. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Church of the Advent.
Survivors include one son, John Robert “Jay” Raines IV of the home; one daughter, Carrie Raines of the home; one sister, Frankie F. Biggs of Williamston; and one brother, William Wood Biggs II of Raleigh.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7-8 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at 900 School Drive in Williamston.
