Mrs. Evelyn Peele Bonner, age 78, a resident of 211 Peele Road, Aurora, passed away Friday, February 22, 2008 at her home.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Oakhaven Cemetery, Edward, conducted by Rev. Owen Lee Peele and Rev. Earl Sadler, Jr.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Nathan Heine, Harvey Swain, Roy Allen, Scott Allen, David Mayo, Jr., and Steven West.
Mrs. Bonner was born in the Royal community on July 15, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Adolph Peele and Beatrice Virginia Hunnings Peele. Mrs. Bonner was a homemaker and a member of Dublin Grove Free Will Baptist Church. She was married to Richard Thomas Bonner, who preceded her in death, February 6, 2005.
Mrs. Bonner was a devoted mother and loving grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and will be missed by all.
Survivors include three daughters, Connie B. Mounce and her husband, Milford of New Bern, Pattie B. Olson and her husband, Jeff of Jacksonville, Fla., Penny B. Groome and her husband, Terry of Aurora; one son, Richard “Richie” Thomas Bonner, Jr. and his wife, Denise of Aurora; one sister, Sybil Griffith of Jamestown, N.C.; one brother, Kenneth Peele of New Bern; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at her home, 211 Peele Road, Aurora.
