Mrs. Patsy Joan Bunting Beach, 67, of 216 Pine St., Oak City, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Biggs Funeral Home, Williamston, with the Rev. Brian Busch officiating. Burial will follow in Oak City Cemetery.
Mrs. Beach was born in Martin County on June 28, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Nellie Craft Bunting. She was a 1958 graduate of Oak City High School and a 1961 graduate of East Carolina University. On Dec. 24, 1961, she married John Beach, who survives. She retired after 37 years as a school teacher. She was a member of Hamilton Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Lisa B. Beach of Oak City; one son, Lee Beach and wife Jennifer of Washington; three sisters, Blannie Turner, Nell Brown and Sue Latham, all of Oak City; one brother, Wiley Bunting of Oak City; and three grandchildren, Chandler Beach, Mason Beach and Braeden Beach.
She was preceded in death by brothers, J.T. Bunting and Mark Bunting and sister, Sara Jones.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home, Williamston, and other times at the home.
