Mrs. Ruby Yvonne King Benston, 52, of 5624 Sandy Ridge Drive, Washington, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Cornerstone Family Worship Center, Washington, with Elder Rufus Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
Mrs. Benston was born in Pitt County on Aug. 2, 1955. She was the daughter of Ruby Lee Crandle King and the late William Lawrence King. She graduated in 1974 from D.H. Conley High School and did further studies at Albert Muriel in computer science. On Aug. 11, 1986, she married Frederick Benston, who survives. She was an assembly worker at Asahi-Greenville. She was a member of Jesus Is Alive F.S.H.G. Deliverance Church in Greenville.
Survivors include two daughters, Amanda Jordan Benston and Kelly Erie Benston of Washington; two sisters, Lena Perkins and Tonya Bonds, both of Washington; and five brothers, Jake King and Blaze King of Grimesland, William King of Washington, Jesse Ray King of New Jersey and Bobby Lee King of Blounts Creek.
The family will receive friends today from 6:30-8 p.m. at Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington, and other times at the home.
