Mr. Johnnie Riley Clark Sr., 81, of 763 Washington St., Belhaven, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Pungo District Hospital in Belhaven.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Saint James Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) with Elder Barry James officiating. Burial will follow in Northside Cemetery.
Mr. Clark was born in Beaufort County on Nov. 25, 1926. He was the son of the late Fred Clark Sr. and Carrie R. Clark. He attended the Beaufort County Schools. He was an Army veteran. He was a member of Saint James Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ).
Survivors include two sons, Johnnie Clark Jr. of Fayetteville and Dwight Clark of New York, N.Y.; two daughters, Cora Bonner of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Dorothy Clark of Queens, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A walk-in visitation will be held today from 2:30-8:30 p.m. at Whitfield &Whitley Funeral Home, Washington. The body may be viewed Saturday from 10-10:30 a.m. at Saint James Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ).
