Mrs. Ruby Hoff Boone, 91, of 1700 N.C. Highway 171, Jamesville, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at the Vintage Inn in Williamston.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Walker Funeral Home-Horner Chapel in Plymouth with the Rev. Russ Ambrose officiating and Steve Gurganus assisting. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Boone was born in Richwood, W.Va., on Sept. 24, 1916. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Anna Wheeler Hoff. She was a graduate of Richwood High School. She was married to Robert Boone, who preceded her in death. She was a member of Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church in Roper.
Survivors include one son, Robert A. Boone II of Jamesville; two daughters, Judy B. Alligood of Greenville and Janet B. Keech of Pinetown; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and one daughter, Joyce Barnes.
The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Plymouth, and other times at the home.
