Mrs. Rachel Dessiree Waters, age 98, formerly of 747 Main St., Pinetown died Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Britthaven of Washington.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2008, at the Latham Cemetery in Pinetown and will be conducted by the Rev. Phillip Jethro.
Mrs. Waters was born in Beaufort Co. on March 10, 1910 to the late Leroy Gay Waters and Hattie Waters. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pinetown Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was married to Herman Leo Waters who preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son; Olin Gay Waters of Pinetown, two grandsons; Brian Waters and his fiancee’ Melissa of Pinetown, Tim Waters and wife Jennifer of Washington, a great-grandson; Timothy Tyler Waters and his mother Cindy Jefferson Waters.
Mrs. Waters was preceded in death by one son, Garland Whitford Waters; one brother; Raynor Waters and five sisters; Clair Foreman, Delsie Waters, Effie Chambers, Doris Jordan and Evelyn Wallace.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington.
