Mr. Michael Tarro, 87, of 469 Tankard Drive, Bath, died Friday, March 21, 2008 at the Beaufort County Hospital.
A mass of resurrection will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Mother of Mercy Catholic Church with Father M. Arturo Cabra officiating.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2008 at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Highway 264 East, Washington with a rosary at 6:30 p.m.
Mr. Tarro was born October 19, 1920 in Kensington, CT. He was the son of the late Giuseppe and Racheal Leone Tarro. He attended school in Cranston, RI and was a veteran of the US Maritime Service. On October 18, 1958, he married the former Lucette Croteau, who survives. Mr. Tarro was a retired manager for Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford, CT. He had been a resident of Beaufort County since 1987. He was a member of Mother of Mercy Catholic Church and the Moms and Pops.
Survivors include his wife, Lucette Croteau Tarro; one daughter, Denise Tarro Jackson and husband, George of Newington, CT; two sons, Andre Michel Tarro and wife, Kathy of Centreville, VA, and William Joseph Tarro and wife, Betina of Weddington, NC; two sisters, Ann Tarro Yacinski of South Windsor, CT, and Rose Tarro Masselle and husband, Anthony of Manchester, CT; one brother, Anthony Tarro and wife, Olga of Plainville, CT; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Tarro of Southington, CT; six grandchildren, Alexander and Amaia Jackson, Wesley and Kyle Tarro, and John and Ryan Allen; and one great-grandaughter, Taylor Allen.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Peter Tarro.
