Mrs. Sara James Harrison, 93, of Williamston, died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at home.
A funeral will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in Williamston Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. David Wyly officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Harrison was born in Winston-Salem on April 28, 1914. In 1947, she married Ernest G. Harrison, who preceded her in death. Before her marriage, she worked for the N.C. State Highway Commission.
Survivors include 11 nieces and nephews, Jo Hanes of Mt. Ulla, Bobby Harrison and Jess Ives, both of Raleigh, Nanette Page of Chesapeake, Va., Sarah James of Cary, Barbara Woolard of Winterville, William Everett of Williamston, Patricia Corlett of Newport News, Va., Roberta Sutton of Midlothian, Va., Bobby Tippett of Warrenton and Bill Tippett of Henderson.
The family will receive friends today from 1-2 p.m. at Williamston Presbyterian Church and other times at the home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at Williamston Presbyterian Church, 125 E. Main St., Williamston, NC 27892.
