Mr. James Edward Walker, 67, of 303 Buncombe St., Roper, died Saturday, March 29, 2008.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lloyd Jackson Walker Banquet Hall in Roper with the Rev. Wade Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Memorial Park in New York.
Mr. Walker was born in Nyack, N.Y., on May 27, 1940. He was the son of the late Lloyd Jackson Walker and Collie Williams Walker. He was owner and operator of Lloyd Jackson Walker Banquet Hall.
Survivors include four sons, James Edward Walker Jr. of Manhattan, N.Y., Michael Allen Walker of Virginia Beach, Va., Gregory Walker of Panama City, Fla., and Troy Walker of Long Island, N.Y.; three daughters, Peggy Walker Greene of Bayshore, N.Y., Linda Walker of Long Island, N.Y., and Michelle Mitchell of North Bergen, N.J.; three brothers, Franklin Walker of Queens, N.Y., Clarence Walker of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Robert Walker of Deltona, Fla.; 29 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8 p.m. at Lloyd Jackson Walker Banquet Hall.
Local arrangements are by Toodle’s Funeral Home of Plymouth. Arrangements in New York are by Rose’s Funeral Home of Bayshore, N.Y.
