Mr. Jack Batson Miller, 91, of 783 Possum Hill Road, Bath, died Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Pungo District Hospital in Belhaven.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Pamlico Memorial Gardens of Washington with the Rev. Gary Murphee officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Slade, Bill Lewis, Raymond Lewis, Donald Garrett, Ronald Garrett and Larry Garrett.
Mr. Miller was born June 7, 1916, son of the late McDonald Miller and Gertrude Moore Miller. On December 28, 1943 he married “Dokie” Hoogendoorn, who survives. He was a farmer.
Surviving with his wife is one sister, Martha Garrett of Pantego.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by four brothers, Zeb Miller, John Miller, Carl Miller and James Miller and one sister, Moranda Phillips.
The family will receive friends following the service at the Bath United Methodist Church.
