Mr. Eldon George Worn, 87, of 115 Trent Lane, Cypress Landing, Chocowinity, died Monday, April 21, 2008, at home.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in First Presbyterian Church, Washington.
Mr. Worn was born in Cook County, Illinois, on Aug. 10, 1920. He was the son of the late Walter and Tillie Henrichs Worn. He served in the Navy during World War II. On July 3, 1941, he married the former Dorothy Irene Dalrymple, who preceded him in death Nov. 6, 2004. He was a self-employed pattern maker in the woodworking business. He had made his home in Cypress Landing since 1999, where he was a member of the Woodies Club. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Washington.
Survivors include two daughters, Penelope “Penny” Boozman of Chocowinity, and Becky Mrachek of La Jolla, Calif.; one son, Jeffrey Worn of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1346, Washington, NC 27889.
