Mrs. Marceline Johnson Wynne, 77, of 2080 U.S. Highway 17, Williamston, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at Williamston Rehab Center.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Biggs Funeral Home with the Revs. Mike Dixon and Larry Gilbreath officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Wynne was born in Martin County on May 15, 1930. She was the daughter of Joe J. Johnson Sr. and Katie Mae Forbes Johnson. On Nov. 23, 1949, she married Dillon C. Wynne, who survives. She worked as a bookkeeper with Martin Supply until her retirement. She was a member of Reddicks Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Jane W. Griffin of Williamston; one son, Richard D. Wynne of Hartsville, S.C.; one sister, Lona Warren of Langhorne, Pa.; three brothers, Joe J. Johnson Jr. of Williamston, Tommy Johnson of Robersonville and Charles Johnson of Greenville and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Preston Johnson and Durward Johnson.
