Mrs. Rebecca Norman Pierce, 91, of 16460 N.C. Highway 32 North, Roper, died Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Plumblee Nursing Center in Plymouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Shiloh Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) with Elder Daniel Gilliam officiating. A commital service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Cemetery, Norfolk, Va.
Mrs. Pierce was born on June 7, 1916, in Washington County. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Sallie Norman. She was a retired personal care assistant with Home Health Care. She was a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ). She was the widow of Samuel Pierce.
Survivors include one daughter, Viola N. Blount of Roper, and other relatives.
The family will receive friends at Shiloh Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and at other times at the home.
Arrangements are by Toodles Funeral Home in Plymouth.
