Mrs. Jane Morris Ballard, 74, of Bethel, died Saturday, May 17, 2008.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Gold Point Christian Church with Jimmy Elks officiating. Burial will follow in Robersonville Cemetery.
Mrs. Ballard was born in Pitt County on Jan. 9, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Donald and Zula Buck Morris. She was married to Roy Ballard, who preceded her in death Feb. 1, 1997. She worked as a bookkeeper in accounts payable for Hallmark Cards. She was a member of Gold Point Christian Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Susan Ballard of Robersonville, Angela Ayers of Oak City, and Katherine Burroughs of Raleigh; one son, Ed Ballard of Wendell; one brother, Kenneth Morris of Bethel; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Morris and one sister, Barbara Howell.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home, Robersonville, and other times at 518 W. Fourth St., Oak City.
