Mr. Robert Demetris Spruill, 85, of Creswell, died Monday, May 19, 2008, at Washington County Hospital in Plymouth.
A private family service will be held today at Hillside Memorial Gardens with Larry Woodley officiating.
Mr. Spruill was born in Washington County, the son of the late Arthur and Bertha Roberson Spruill. He was married to Earnestine Phelps Spruill, who survives. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of Philippi Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Junior Spruill of Garner, and Ricky Lane Spruill of Creswell; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mae Spear and Myrtle Edwards and two brothers, Jessie Spruill and Carol Spruill.
Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
