Mr. Ricky Darnell Price of 1107 Pennsylvania Ave., Washington, died Monday, June 2, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mt. Calvary United Holiness Church with Elder Ricky Battle officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington.
Mr. Price was born in Beaufort County on April 19, 1955. He was the son of Phrocine Price Grimes of Washington and the late Edward Lee Grimes Sr. He graduated from Woodbury High School in Woodbury, N.J. He served in the Marine Corps, receiving his honorable discharge in June of 1976. He was married to Jessie Swinson Price, who survives. He was employed with Walgreen Drugstore in Washington.
Survivors include two daughters, Peola Rodman of Chocowinity, and Charity Pigford of Greenville; two grandchildren; three sisters, Dianne Bobo of Philadelphia, Pa., and Dorothy Whitaker and Laura Grimes, both of Washington and one brother, Edward Lee Grimes Jr. of Washington.
The family will receive friends today from 2-6 p.m. at Leon Randolph Funeral Home, 208 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington, and other times at the home.
