Steven E. Rawls

Mr. Steven E. Rawls, 56, died Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Martin General Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Walker Funeral Home Chapel with pastors Charles Davis and Clifford Britton officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Philip Cockrell, A.B. Gentry, Walt Willett, Barry Woolard, Hugh Martin and Buddy Womble.
Mr. Rawls was born Dec. 20, 1951 in Washington County, son of the late Jesse Earl and Betty Rawls. He was employed as a radio engineer II for the N.C. State Highway Patrol. He founded the local chapter of the Souther Cruisers motorcycle club and was a member of the Roanoke Fly Rod Club.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha Bailey Rawls; one son, Jonathan Rawls and one grandaughter, Megan.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Rawls.
The family will recieve friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at Walker Funeral Home in Williamston and other times at the home.
