Mr. Thurman Raleigh Johnson, 73, of 303 Askewville Road, Windsor, died Friday, June 13, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Walker Funeral Home, with the Rev. R.O. Denton Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson was born Dec. 7, 1934, in Bertie County. His parents were the late Raleigh and Lillie White Johnson. He was a member of Askewville Baptist Church. He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Farmer Johnson of Windsor; a daughter, Joy Johnson of Windsor; a son, Roy Johnson of Windsor; a brother, David Johnson of Windsor; and two grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Walker Funeral Home and other times at the home.
