Mrs. Annie Charlotte Loftin Blalock, 82, resident of Stafford Glen Assisted Living, Fifth Street, Greenville, formerly of Hines Drive, Ayden, died Saturday, June 14, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted Monday at 4 p.m. at the Hancock Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Ayden.
Mrs. Blalock was born on November 16, 1925, the younger of two children of the late Leon and Clemmie Loftin. Her sister, Ruby Mae Loftin Tyson, preceded her in death.
She was married to Albert F. Blalock on the 29th day of March, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1965. They both lived in Halifax County from 1950 to 1964 and later in the Ayden community. Mrs. Blalock had no children of her own.
Surviving are three nieces, Louise Norman, Evelyn Joyce Smith and Ruby Jean Manning, and two nephews, James Tyson and Harold Tyson, all of Washington.
A nephew, Billy Ray Tyson, also preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, 601-F Country Club Drive, Greenville, N.C. 27834 or the American Cancer Society, 930-B, Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C. 27834.
