Mrs. Sarah Frances Warren Carter, 83, of 1014 A Canal Road, Pantego, died Monday July 14, 2008, at her home.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Union Grove Church of Christ, Pantego, officiated by Thelbert Leggett, Gary Vaughan and Scott Askew. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery. Marvin Alligood, John Jackson, Eddie Bailey, Jesse Respess, Zeno Wright, Jack Respess and Danny Respess will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Carter was born on April 8, 1925 in Isle of Wright County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Clifton Warren and Virgie Ellis Warren. She was married to Joshua Franklin Carter Jr., who preceded her in death Dec. 11, 1988. She was a homemaker and a member of Acre Chapel Christian Church.
Survivors include one son, Joshua Franklin “Frankie” Carter III of Pantego.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Warren Drudge, Dorothy Warren Loehr and Rose Warren Bailey and by two brothers, Clifton Warren and Samuel Warren.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven and other times at the home.
